THE METAMORPHIC TECHNIQUE
A profound approach to
self-healing and transformation
with
SAM BLOOMFIELD
BA (Hons), C.F.E.T, M.A.R , ART(Regd), ACOH, Teacher Member of the Metamorphic Association.

What is the Metamorphic Technique?
A unique tool for personal transformation.
Not a therapy or a treatment, but a technique that brings forth your own inner life force, enabling you to better realise your potential.
It does not consider people to be 'blocked' or 'broken' and in need of being 'fixed'. Instead, it simply notices that you may have patterns that no longer serve you and that you wish to transform. The energy that was involved in creating the old patterns is released, and can be used to create new patterns.
Empowering. Any changes that occur originate entirely from within the recipient. That person's own life force has an innate intelligence of its own. The practitioner simply acts as a catalyst in the process.
Non-invasive. There is no physical manipulation, nor diagnosis, nor any need to discuss personal problems or medical history.
MT can be used for self-healing and releasing creativity.
Gentle and completely safe.
What is included in this course?
The course is fully experiential, students working on each others feet, hands and head. The teaching is student centred with plenty of opportunity to develop an understanding of the principles underlying the work, and how to practice in different circumstances. The very simple movements needed to offer the Metamorphic Technique will be learned in the first weekend. Students will be able to work with family, friends and animals thereafter.
Who is this course for?
This course is open to all who are interested in learning and practicing a very simple technique with life-changing implications for practitioner and client. No previous experience in complementary therapies, or academic qualifications are needed. Many complementary and mainstream practitioners choose to learn the technique in order to enhance their existing practice.
Who is teaching the course?
Sam Bloomfield first learnt the Metamorphic Technique as a child and then went on to study Reflexology as a teenager. He continued his studies with a first class degree in political philosophy and German literature from UCL. However, in 1999, having studied the arts of Reflexology and the Metamorphic Technique for 17 years part time, he decided to make it his career. Since then he has taken a diploma course in energy healing, and become a recognised teacher in adult education. As well as teaching the Metamorphic Technique and introductory and postgraduate seminars in Reflexology, Sam is preparing a practitioner training in Reflexology to be accredited by the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists. This will start in September 2007. Sam is in private practice in Nailsworth and Stroud. He is co-editor of the Metamorphic Association newsletter.
What is the assessment procedure?
For students who wish to become professional Metamorphic Practitioners, there is a guideline requirement to give 50 sessions, offered to at least 10 different people over a period of 6 -12 months. You will also be expected to receive 20 sessions yourself in order to deepen your understanding and embody the work. You can then attend a second seminar and begin to practice professionally. Participants who have attended one seminar can apply for Associate Membership of the Metamorphic Association, an educational trust, which costs £18 per year. You will receive support materials, a regular newsletter and listings to contact other members to exchange sessions. Those who have attended two seminars and completed the expected practical experience can apply for Practitioner membership and thereafter practice professionally. This costs £60 per year. Insurance needs to be organised separately but is very inexpensive.
